Holder, the 23 year old lad who has performed in the past was already an
ODI captain. Due to the current situation and his recent performance, WICB has also

In the World Cup earlier this year, after losing to Ireland, he made sure that they win at least rest of the matches which paved the way for the team reach the quarter finals. An unbeaten 103 against England in April last year which
resulted the match being drawn, last June he scored a flamboyant unbeaten 82 from just 63 balls in the second Test to raise
up the West Indies batting, he has clearly been the saviour for the team.
Holder only has played 8 tests
and 33 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in his short career. It would be
really interesting to see how well he performs and manages the captaincy and
how well he maintains the expectation from the selectors and fans.
Only time will tell whether it’s the bright side or gloomy side of the West
Indies team.
