Indian squad announced for South Africa series

The squad for the Indian Team against South Africa was finally announced for T20 and ODI just before a week before the ser. The Indian team will play 3 T20’s and 5 ODI’s against South Africa beginning 2nd October.

The major change came in Team India when Punjab all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh Mann was selected for the ODI’s in the team based on his performance for India A for the limted over matches. He had impressive performance He had taken 2 for 42 and scored an unbeaten 87 in the tri-series final victory against Australia an in August, and then he made 65 and took 5 for 29 against a Bangladesh A team. He has been picked due to his allrounder capablities. Left arm seamer Aarvind earned a place in the team back again after 4 years.

The squad is good enough where the seniors are in the team.Amit Mishra, Bhajji and Yadav are back. Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma being ignored though they are known as Test specialists and Jadeja being ignored both in T20s and ODIs due to his poor performance.
