INDvNZ 5th ODI: An unexpected Cyclone hit Vizag last night.

It was expected that a cyclone would hit Vizag on the match day. And yes, the cyclone (named MISHRA) did hit the Vizag but only for New Zealand. It was observed that someone from New Zealand team ordered pizza, hence, whole team returned to pavilion in 30 minutes. Kiwis were Kangaroo in disguise against spinners. We saw some rift between two Indian players; Amit Mishra took 5 wickets and didn’t allow the in-form Kedar Jadhav to bowl because of jealous (You don’t believe me? Ask Indian media).

Already knew Hardik Pandya can bring the best in Indian bowling. His unavailability in last ODI clearly helped the Indian bowlers to clean-up the Kiwis on 79 runs only. I can’t even say “New Zealand ko nazar lag gayi” as they were playing in black jersey (According to mom’s rule 764: Black colour saves you from negative energy). It looked like New Zealand is playing with XI Shikhar Dhawan. Frustrated after the loss, New Zealand Cricket Board appealed ICC to ban Vizag as a cricket venue after Vizag crowd celebrated even Ross Taylor and Guptill’s wicket (Sad day for cricket). It was good to see Ross Taylor finishing this series on high, by facing 10+ balls.

As a debutant you would always want to start your career bowling against the best. Jayant Yadav wasn’t that lucky, he gets to bowl against Jimmy Neesham and Corey Anderson. I mean, who bowls to get them out? But both of them lasts more than Chinese products; 10 minutes.

Even after a bizarrely brilliant performance from Indian bowlers, New Zealand managed to beat Rohit Sharma by 9 runs. India batting first after winning the toss surprised Kiwis by Rohit’s inning (70). Even Pierce Brosnan wouldn’t be so surprised after knowing the reality of Pan Bahar. India managed to score 270, thanks to Rohit, Virat, Dhoni, Jadhav and Greg Chappell (for not being India’s coach). This was truly a memorable match for India as Rohit Sharma scored more than Virat Kohli. This Rohit Sharma knock made his haters jealous and it was so shocking for his fans that they were coma in for 5 minutes (more than Rohit usually stays on crease :P) . Overall a good performance by Rohit in this series as his batting average remains higher than Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit could’ve scored more but maybe his mother’s name on Jersey didn’t allow him by saying “Itni dhoop mai aur mat khel”.

Indians players were playing with their mother’s name on jersey, but it was surprising to see no one had “गाय” written on back of their jersey.

Overall a decent performance by Indian team and Dhoni can finally take the stumps and bails with him to use it in the lighting decoration this Diwali. Happy Diwali!
