Comeback man Pujara proves form is temporary, class is permanent
Since his debut in 2010, he has always been a regular member of the team in the longest format of the game. Being ignored for the first two tests against Sri Lanka, Pujara left a mark in the third test where he got a chnace.Later, in the first innings of the third test against Sri Lanka Cheteshwar pujara notched up his 7th test hundred. The comeback man showed his epitome and proved the selectors wrong.
Being compared to Rahul Dravid and refeerred as the 'Wall' is one of his achievemements, in his short career. Pujara had been under pressure in the past few months. In England his form dipped, falling prey to incoming deliveries- a flaw in his technique! Though it is not a major flaw, but still needs some improvement.

Coming back to his knock, it was an innings binding knock. He became only the fourth Indian opener to 'carry his bat', much like his idol- Rahul Dravid.
He entered the elite club, after having asked to open the innigs. pujara brougfht together the Indian innings which was toterring at some point of time. He joined Sunil gavaskar, Virendar Sehwag and Rahul Dravid in the process. With the inclusion of Pujara, only 49 players have carried the bat in 2179 Tests.
Gavaskar became the first Indian to carry his bat through the innings when he smashed an unbeaten 127 in the second innings of the third Test against Pakistan in Faisalabad in January 1983. Although India lost the match by 10 wickets, Gavaskar had created history.
Sehwag became the second Indian to achieve this feat 25 years later when he remained unbeaten on 201 during the second Test against Sri Lanka at Galle in August 2008. Sehwag had contributed 61 percent of his team's total of 329 and his knock helped India register a 10-wicket win. Dravid joined the list during the fourth Test against England at The Oval in 2011 when he scored an unbeaten 146.
